A Love Letter to Procrastination
Dear Procrastination,
You give me a sense of freedom. A chance to be lazy and just not do anything I don’t want to do. You make me feel like I’m in control for once in my life.
I love you so much that sometimes it’s hard for me to even start any projects without you by my side. So thank you procrastination, for being the best friend anyone could ask for!
You have so many techniques to make me feel good!
My favorite is when you make me pull out the hair on my arms. It feels relaxing and I get a nice sense of accomplishment, like “I did something!” when I’m done haha!
Or, remember when you made me watch Netflix all day, because you told me I will forget all my worries in an instant? With your help, these moments turn into days or even weeks where nothing gets accomplished.
When I wake up, you make me stare at the wall for an unusual amount of time. How can a wall possibly be interesting at all? Well, you magically make it fascinating by making me stare at it for hours.
Just thinking about you makes me want to procrastinate right now! Again…
Procrastination you make me feel like it’s a form of self-care that can be really helpful when…
